Jack Raymond has been a writer all his life. As Creative Director, he won several awards including a Clio. He has written screenplays as well as plays and taught
creative writing at USC and UCLA.

His last four plays Denouement, Deus Ex Machina, Me Tarzan, You Jane and The University Wits, received enthusiastic reviews from theater professionals such as: The Royal Court and Soho Theatre in London, Arena Theatre, First Stage LA, Florida Studio Theatre, Denver Center Theatre, The Trinity Repertory Company of Providence, the University of Utah Theatre Department and The Actor’s Studio in Los Angeles and Babcock Performing Readers of Salt Lake City.

He has won several Playwright Competitions. Two of his plays Denouement and Deus Ex Machina were semi-finalist at the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference.

His plays have been chosen for staged readings at the Babcock Performing Readers of Salt Lake City, First Stage LA, the University of Utah Theatre Department, Florida Studio Theatre, the Actor’s Studio in Los Angeles and His script Myron The First was optioned.

Jack’s goal is to explore a new, more involving, interactive kind of theater, where the audience is treated as a participant as well as an observer. All of his plays have been written with this end in mind. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
